Research

Two main themes define our work:

1) How and why do physiological and behavioral responses to infection vary across individuals and populations?

2) What are the consequences of that variation for pathogen transmission and evolution?

Within those main areas, we currently have several projects going, all in collaboration with some great labs around the country and globe:

Evolution, underlying mechanisms, and consequences of disease tolerance in house finches.

Ecological and evolutionary causes and consequences of heterogeneity in susceptibility induced by prior exposure.

Can animal behavior and community science improve surveillance for bighorn sheep respiratory disease?

Check out Publications for prior projects and People for former lab members that worked on them.
